Pumpkin to Jack -o-Lantern!

Sunday was pumpkin picking and carving day.  Alaina woke up from her nap on the wrong side of the crib, so we didn't get many pics of her picking the perfect pumpkin....But, she definitely enjoyed carving them!  We lit candles and put them on the front step right away when we finished carving and now that is the first thing she wants to do when we get home from daycare every day, light the pumpkins!

Even mister pumpkin man couldn't get her to smile!

But, this itty bitty pumpkin made her smile - "it is for my baby brudder!"
*no we don't know what we are having yet!  Alaina has just said from day one that she is having a baby brudder!  We will see if she's right in a month!

Super cheese!

This one is mine, do not touch!

Ever carved a pumpkin with a 2 year old on your lap?  It is a mess!

The end result!  Mommy's on the left, daddy's in the middle and Alaina's on the right!  Aren't they pretty?!  Both Alaina's and mommy's were supposed to have more teeth but someone ripped them out on accident...Oops!

16 week baby bump!

Leaf for Lupus!

After we got our hairs cut on Saturday we decided to head out to the Leaf for Lupus Fundraiser at Hidden Greens Golf Course. We had lots of fun jumping in 12 foot leaf piles, decorating cookies, going for a hayride, and getting crazy hair!  It was a perfect day for jumping in the leaves, Alaina loved every minute of it!  Especially since we had Clara and Dee along for the fun and then we ran into Alaina's best bud Kylie from daycare!  We will definitely be going back next year!

Clara and Alaina excited for the hayride!

Best bud Clara!

Kylie giving her the death look, they have a love/hate relationship at daycare...but I've never seen Alaina get so excited when she saw Kylie laying in the leaves!   Too cute!

Cheese!

Dee and Clara enjoying jumping in the leaves!

These cookies are delicious!  I was really thinking the baby needed a bite, but there was no way Alaina was sharing that deliciousness!

Great pic...Alaina scratching daddy's ears out!

Alain loving on her buddy Clara...always hugging and kissing her!

Crazy hair!

Me and mommy!

Worn out and ready for a nap!  Can't wait to go back next year!

Alaina's First Haircut!

We decided it was finally time for Alaina to get her first haircut, so we took her in last Saturday to visit our friend Stacey!  Daddy got his hair cut first and then it was Alaina's turn!  I was a littler nervous for how she would act because she told me the night before that "she didn't want to get her hair trimmed cause it would hurt!"  I assured her it would not hurt and Stacey would do a great job! She sat perfect the whole time!  It was a very small, but much needed trim!

Before!

With her pretty cape on!

Don't get too close to my ears with that scissors!

I love getting my hair blow dryed!

After, such a big girl!

Alaina and her new stylist Stacey!

And a quick ride for doing such a great job!

Owie!!

Alaina had a little accident on Thursday...she slipped and fell down the stairs at Grandpa & Grandma Mac's.  After I got the call I hurried over there and knew right away something must have been broken and I actually think I said to Lynne - do you think she broke her collar bone?!  Yep she did!  After a quick visit to urgent care we got her all fixed up in her new accessory for the next 4-6 weeks - this beautiful new Hawaiian sling.  She has been a real trooper and very good at keeping it on!  After a very crabby weekend with lots of pain medication, I'm happy to report that she's starting to feel much better and getting back to her feisty two year old self.  We made a deal that if she wants to go to dance class on Monday's she has to wear the shoulder immobilizer and she willfully put it on and headed right out the door!

Day 1 - NOT HAPPY!!

Day 2 - I've had better days!

Day 4 - Finally a smile! - Lets go to dance!!

Isn't my shoulder immobilizer cool?!

Showing off her cards that she received in the mail already!!  She is very excited to get mail!!   Thanks everyone for the calls, cards, balloons, pumpkins and treats!!

McMuffin or McNugget?

Since we don't know what we're having yet, we're going to call baby Mac #2 McMuffin(girl) or McNugget(boy) until we find out in 6 more painful weeks!  We are anxiously waiting to find out....Alaina thinks she's having a baby brother 90% of the time when you ask her....and I really don't know...I've always pictured us having two girls when I think about the future, but I have had a few baby boy dreams now...so we will see...in 6 more....loooonnnnggg weeks!
