No and Yeah!

Girls Weekend 2010!

So, I know a lot of people thought we were crazy for doing a 1/2 marathon on our girls weekend away...In fact on Friday when we got to the cabin, we were definitely thinking we were crazy... at the cabin and couldn't get crazy and have a couple drinks...I think each one of us asked each other what were we thinking when we signed up for the half marathon!

Little did we know, we were in for an awesome run!! We loved the 1/2 marathon, it was absolutely beautiful running around the lakes, the weather was perfect AND most importantly there were lots of hydration and dumping stations(port-a-potties)!! Out of the 8 girls at the cabin, 5 of us ran -Jessi, Erin, Erin's sister-in-law Christy, Christy's friend Katie and myself! Stacy, Katie and Jenny crawled out of bed just in time to see us cross the finish line, thanks for coming to cheer us on girls!! Christy and Katie finished first @ 2:10 minutes, Jessi and I finished @ 2:14 min and Erin(10 weeks preggers) finished @ 2:20 minutes!! This was my best time out of the 3 1/2 marathons I've done, so I was pretty excited! Having no real goals, when I filled out a form for the race, they asked your goal time... I said 2:15... beat it by a minute!

After the race we headed over to Zorbaz to start a "real girls weekend!" We celebrated the 1/2 marathon with some delicious pizza and bloody Mary's and a little hot tub time back at the cabin! Since we were not able to have many cocktails on Friday we decided to start a little early(like 4 o'clock) and play some cards till we could leave for the beach party at Moonlight Bay... The beach party was OK... they filled the dance floor with sand and if you've every tried to dance in sand, it's really not that fun! Either way we all had a blast!! Some of us were not feeling too well for the 3 1/2 hour drive home on Sunday, so it took us a little longer with many stops we made!! Thanks for a great girls weekend everyone and thanks Denny and Lynne for letting us use your cabin again!

A Play Date with Lexi!

Last Thursday we had another play date with Sabrina and Lexi! We had a blast eating pizza, running around the house, swinging at the park and playing outside in the car! Thanks for coming over to play!! We can't wait to see you again!

Karen, John and family, thank you very much for the adorable summer outfits for Alaina! I think she likes them just a little bit, she carried them around for 10 minutes after opening them! I'm sure she'll be sporting them at the cabin for ya! Thanks again!

My First Art Project!

We finally have some pretty art projects for the fridge!! Alaina brought this home from daycare this week, I'm sure it's the first of many!

13 months old!

So what is our little Alaina doing at 13 months? Loving the beautiful weather! Alaina loves, loves, loves being outside! She's still very busy mowing, walking on the path with mommy and Maggie or just relaxing in her chair! She is still getting into everything her tiny little hands can reach! Eating anything and everything!(even dog food and rabbit turds!)... Thank god I got it out of her mouth both times before she bit into it! And she is still a huge sleeper! -about 15 hours/day! 11 at night and 2 1 1/2 - 2hr naps/day! I think she gets that from her daddy! Oh and one last thing she is now doing for the past month, her very surprised face(see last pic)!

Feeling Much Better!!

This week started out terrible! Alaina picked up a nasty case of the croup, so she was not a happy baby! This was also her first week in daycare(perfect timing)!... So we will see how she does in daycare this week when she is feeling much better!

The good news is by Saturday, mom and baby were fully recovered from the terrible week! Pictures below to prove how good she is feeling!
