We would much rather be playing in the sand and the sun like you are right now, but we will have to enjoy this fluffy white stuff for now! Can't wait for you to come home on Friday and play in it too!

Isn't this shovel for the beach? Yup! That's all we have, since we prefer to play at the beach, not in the snow!

This snow sure is yummy grandma, I bet it tastes about as good as the daiquiri your sippin' right now! ; )

Babysitting Eric!

Cousin Eric came to stay with us this weekend! He is such a happy little guy! We had a blast and can't wait to have him again next weekend! Alaina might not be too happy to have him back again, having to share her mommy and daddy or most importantly all of her toys! Everything is "mine, mine!" No Eric, that is mine! Overall I think it went really well and she does love her little cousie! Both mornings and after nap time, she asked for "Ick" right away! Two kids are a lot of work!...Is it time for bed yet?!

A little under the weather!

Alaina caught a bug from daycare and was a little under the weather this weekend... Lots of snuggling was about all we got done! There were lots of firsts this weekend...first time having a glass of chocolate milk, first time eating a freezie with mittens on- yes dad suggested it since she was cold?!, first time having a fever of 102, first time sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed(and hopefully the last)! I sure hope the bug is gone when we wake up in the morning.. cause mommy would really hate to miss work for more snuggle time ; )...

Spring fever?

We just couldn't resist a trip to DQ with this gorgeous weather this weekend!! Alaina liked the cone we bought for her, but I think she wished we bought her a strawberry shake like daddy had. She kept saying more, more daddy! Now, lets hope this nice weather lasts for a while...so we can go to DQ again!

No More Nukies!

Well, one week ago today we said good-bye to the nukies! With Alaina's 2nd birthday fast approaching, we decided it was time to get rid of them! The transition was not too terrible.. since she had only been using it at nap and bedtime for the past year or so.. A couple bedtime meltdowns and a few early mornings and we are finally back to normal! We haven't heard the word nuk come out of her mouth since Saturday, so I think we are in the clear now!! Taking away the nuk may have been harder on mommy than Alaina...it really made me realize she's not a baby anymore!...tear : (....

Behind the Scenes at the Zoo!

Grandpa Mac invited us to join in on the fun for "Legislative Day at the Zoo" this past Saturday! We had a guided tour and got to go behind the scenes at most of the exhibits! Alaina thought it was great to pet all the furry animals and even put some of the not so furry animals...a 6 foot long bull snake! Yuck!... I can't imagine she'll be that brave forever! We had a great time, thanks for inviting us PaPa and Ga!

Glad we got to see a Sea Turtle since we missed them this time in Hawaii!
