We had another fun filled 4th of July weekend up north at the cabin! We spent most of our first day on the dock soaking up the sun. Saturday morning Jessi, Nick, Auntie Cathy and I ran the Nisswa Firecracker 10K. It was a great run with a slip n' slide finish and an ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon...What more can you ask for?! Thank goodness the humidity went down, because I think I almost passed out last year when I ran it! Although, I don't think I sweated any less...Alaina kept saying you sweaty mommy! Since this was only the second year of the run and I've done it both years, we decided it has to be annual event! Lets see if I can keep up my pace year after year, this year I was only 6 seconds slower...The rest of the day was spent soaking up the sun, eating lots of good food and drinking ice cold beverages! Sunday we returned to the dock for more sun, had an awesome turkey dinner, did sparklers with Alaina and finished the night with a boat ride to Cross Lake to watch the fireworks! On the 4th we decided it was time to do some water sports and take a trip to Zorbaz for some yummy pizza! It took a little bribing to get Alaina in the boat, but once she did oh boy did she have a blast! (As you'll see in the photos below!) Alaina was not into swimming in the lake this time, but we think with the help of a few more kids she'll be in the water in no time! Thanks for the great weekend everyone! We can't wait for out next trip to the cabin!
