Another trip to the cabin for Layna, Luke and Lydia!

We had another awesome weekend at the cabin, we missed grandpa & grandma, but Mike, Sarah, Lydia and our family headed up for the weekend!  We had a weekend filled with lots of baby stuff, lots of nursing, lots of snuggling and lots of diapers! ....all other time was spent relaxing on the dock or watching the Olympics!!

4 Months old!

4 months old already!? Luke is such a happy, loveable little man!  He loves to snuggle with his little sister and is always willing to give her a great big smile (even when she is pulling on him and rolling him over!)  It is just awesome to watch them, you can just tell how much they absolutely adore each other!  At his 4 month check up he weighed 16lb 1oz. and was 26.75" long!  He is a big boy!  I miss him more then ever since I went back to work and there just isn't much time after work to snuggle, since he likes to go to bed @ 7:30 and doesn't wake till 6:30 most days!...I won't complain about that though, because I've heard many stories from other people that are still getting up with their 1 year olds!  Thank you Lukey for letting your momma get some sleep!  2nd happiest 4 months of my life!

Happy 4th of July

We had another fun filled 4th of July weekend at the cabin.  I went to work for two days and then had the rest of the week off to spend with the family!  It was the perfect way to break me into being away from Luke!  Auntie Cathy came up to play with the kids and save me from the 10k I thought I was going to run!: What was I thinking?  I haven't ran since I had Luke!  However, I did do the 5k, and for not running for almost a year, I ran it in 31 minutes..not bad!  Luke was a happy little guy as usual!  He went swimming in the lake for the first time, he didn't like it the 1st time, but we tried a few days later and he seemed to really like it!  I'm hoping he'll be a little more adventurous then his big sis Alaina!

Finally talked her into going on the paddleboat and she loved it of course!
