Alaina is still trying to master the thumb sucking.... I've given her all my tips.. since I was a pro at it until I was about 12 years old!

My mommy went back to work...... But...I love going to my grandma's four days a week!!

Shopping ~ Smore's~ Hot Tubbing ~ Zorbaz -Alaina's 1st Trip to Grandpa & Grandma Mac's Cabin!

Well we had our first trip to the cabin with Alaina! Grandma Lynne and I drove up on Thursday together. We planned out the feeding schedule on Wednesday and it ended up being a stop at the Albertville outlets?! We only made it to one store before Alaina had to eat, but it is probably a good thing... I managed to get quite a few shirts, a skirt, a pair of shoes and boxers and a shirt for Brian all in one store! I was a little nervous about how the ride/feeding/changing diapers/pumping would work, but it all went very well! Lot's of help from Lynne! We had a great weekend~ lot's of great family time! Alaina is finally starting to keep her eyes open a little more and starting to enjoy looking around and playing under her activity mat! (The last picture doesn't really look like it.. but she just took a little nap during tummy time.) : ) Friday we went shopping in Nisswa and Grandpa and Grandma bought Alaina her first life jacket~it doesn't quite fit her yet, but she'll be in it before the end of summer! Saturday we just hung out around the cabin and relaxed in the sun, had a couple glasses of wine and went in the hot tub! On Sunday Denny and Lynne offered to babysit so we could go out for a little bit, we took the boat to Zorbaz for pizza~ yummy! I started to get nervous on Sunday again for the ride home the next day... I don't know why.. it went perfect!! Alaina barely made a sound all 3 1/2 hours home! Clearwater just so happened to be her feeding stop this time... more like our feeding stop (in case you don't know I am pretty much obsessed with Nelson Bros. bakery) -which is in Clearwater! They have the best sandwiches ever!! It was a great weekend..great food, family time and relaxation! Thanks Denny and Lynne!!

Playin' Under the Activity Mat

I swear we have the SLEEPIEST baby ever! The picture below was taken after 2 minutes of laying there... I was talking to her, music playing...nothing! She definitely has her dad's sleeping habits!! Alaina sleeps at least 20 hours of the 24 in a day!? I was hoping she'd be awake more before I went back to work... guess not!

Visit with Great Grandparents!

Alaina finally took a trip to Red Wing to vistit her Great Grandparents! Grandma just loved her, she pretty much held her the entire time we were there! Grandpa thought he had the magic touch because she didn't cry at all when he was holding her. It was great to go see them and I hope we can make one more trip before the end of my maternity leave! Only FOUR weeks left, I'm getting very sad, but I know she'll be in good hands with the grandma's!
